This week marks the start of the outdoor film screening season, so it makes sense to provide a listing of the Boston-area locales where you can find movies under the stars.

We also typically see movies from the Cambridge Art Council, MIT, Inman Under the Stars, the Neponset River Greenway Festival and East Somerville Main Streets. Every summer a new series will pop up, though current economic conditions may limit some previous film showing sponsors.
